Rafiq Hariri's alleged plot
[edit]From the article: ...until May 13, 1992, when he resigned after massive protests orchestrated by Rafic Hariri, who had the largest capital in Lebanon, and had converted all his money into US dollars, causing the Lebanese currency to collapse, and the blame to fall on Karami, so he would be prime minister in Karami's place.
I have been unable to find any evidence to support this story. Rafiq Hariri gained the office through the corruptive influence of Saudi Arabia & Syria, as well as what I see to be his perfectly legitimate history of patronage of Lebanese causes. I recommend it be removed unless some other evidence is found.
The addition of this sentence, nearly verbatim, has been undone as vandalism before. Perhaps it would be better classified as "disputed". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buddhasmom (talk • contribs) 05:41, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
